Le Trabendo

One of the joys of living in a capital city is the abundance of music that is widely accessible. From enormous tours de force such as Lady Gaga to relatively unknown acts, there are venues that cater for all crowds. However, as a young person in Paris, it is interesting and rewarding to visit smaller scale venues, in order to see emerging talent and new ventures. Le Trabendo is a current favourite as it seems to pull in an array of British talent. The building itself holds up to 700 people, meaning that you are guaranteed to be close to the stage. Of late, Le Trabendo has played host to acts such as Friendly Fires, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Richard Ashcroft, and the next few weeks will see Mumford and Sons and Brandon Flowers (frontman of The Killers) grace the stage with their presence.

Situated in Parc de la Villette on the Northeastern edge of the périphique, Le Trabendo is among other music venues such as Le Zenith in the park, where there are also regular events such as jazz festivals and open air cinemas. It is a journey definitely worth making in order to experience new and established names in a very personal and intimate environment.
