La Maison Pos

So, now young Padawan, you are no longer afraid of the pigeons and dog poop in the streets of Paris. You drink real coffee in a thimble-like cup. And- you finally realized that Sofia Coppola’s vision of Paris was a wee bit over the top. Congratulations, you are (almost) a real Parisian. Now here comes the most important part: where can you find some nice fresh food? Some weeks ago, as I strolled in the bobo streets of the 11th arrondissement, I discovered “La Maison Pos†and its crates loaded with wonderful veggies. Opened in December 2010, the shop offers an interesting selection of über fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, directly supplied by local farmers. La Maison Pos also sells a variety of delicious charcuterie, really stinky but scrumptious cheese, seafood, apple juice, bread, and even organic wine. The philosophy of the shop is to support farmers while providing delightful products at a very reasonable price. You can find what you need to cook a nice meal with friends or to have a warming lunch as La Masion Pos offers a soup-of-the-day that can be taken to go. In addition, you will meet two very funny, yet enthusiastic people behind the till.
