Tribeca

This bustling restaurant on Rue Cler offers one of the best dining values in Paris, as nearly all the dishes are less than an unbelievably low 10 Euros (including tax and tip). Best in summer time when Paris remains light until nearly 11:00 p.m., this lively restaurant has large terrace seating, and is great for people-watching on the busy Rue Cler.

There’s a variety of pizzas, pasta, salads, sandwiches (including a real club sandwich with frites), plus poulet rôti, pavé du saumon, and entrecôte, are all reasonably priced, with no dish being more than 15 Euros. Recently, we went for Saturday lunch and had a pizza, a terrific cheeseburger, and a fantastic rigatoni with crème truffe (black truffle cream sauce), all for just 34 Euros, including drinks (that is under 12 Euros per person)!

Have a pooch? No problem. We came with our labrador Cosmo and, as usual, he got the best seat in the house. As the restaurant is across from a book store, you can also get up and walk across to buy a book to browse through, especially useful if you are dining solo. It is also a perfect venue for kids, given the menu choices and its casual setting.

If you’re looking for a simple meal, want to dress down, spend very little, and lounge around to your heart’s content, Tribeca is the perfect spot, day or night, to take in the sights and sounds of Paris while surrounded by a lively crowd.

No reservations are required. Open seven days a week.
