Chez Georges — A Timeless Classic

You never know who you might sit next to or see at Chez Georges, but one thing is always certain: the fashionable elite and button-down set will bring life and love to this timeless classic. So it was no surprise that when dining here recently during Paris Couture Fashion Week, Anna Wintour of Vogue found a quiet table for two, along with a host of other fashion mag royalty. They come here because while fashion changes like the wind, Chez Georges remains a reliable friend offering the same classics, year in year out: salad frisee, escargots, pave de beouf, golden frites, bernaise, tarte tartin, millefeuile and other timeless dishes.Chez Georges, true to its tradition, has waitresses in black and white matron uniforms, white tablecloths and, of course, French silver.

Only open Monday through Friday, reservations are essential and should be booked at several days, if not one week or more in advance. Maintaining its old mystique, the restaurant has no website but see our prior article about the restaurant, the http://lebestofparis.com/best-restaurants-in-paris/chez-georges
